Job Summary
Supervise commercial electrical installations for journeymen and apprentices by interpreting blueprints, laying out work, and performing tool-box talks. Install conduit, raceway, and cable tray systems while troubleshooting motor control systems and ensuring all work meets NEC standards and safety protocols. Communicate with project managers regarding jobsite progress and demonstrate quality electrical installation standards. This role requires interpreting schematics, enforcing safety, and communicating with management teams.
Required Qualifications
- Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman
- Minimum of two years of foreman experience
- Experience preferably from retail construction projects
- Above average troubleshooting skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Valid driver license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
- Strong English literacy skills
- Availability to work nights
- Availability to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- California Journeyman Electrician license
- Experience in retail electrical construction
- Experience with refrigeration motor control
- Experience with Ansul Systems
- Experience with EMS
- Knowledge of retail new construction projects
- Knowledge of retail tenant improvement projects
