Job Summary
Supervise commercial electrical installations by planning work, interpreting blueprints, and directing journeymen and apprentices. Perform tool-box talks, install conduit and cable tray systems, and troubleshoot motor control systems while enforcing NEC standards and jobsite safety. Communicate progress with project managers and safety teams, working flexible shifts including nights and inclement weather conditions. Valid driver's license and California Journeyman license required.
Required Qualifications
- Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman
- Minimum of two years of foreman experience
- Experience preferably from retail construction projects
- Above average troubleshooting skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Valid driver license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
- Strong English literacy skills
- Availability to work nights
- Ability to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- California Journeyman Electrician license
- Experience in retail electrical construction
- Experience with refrigeration motor control
- Experience with Ansul Systems
- Experience with EMS
- Knowledge of retail new construction projects
- Knowledge of retail tenant improvement projects
