Electrical Foreman

Job Summary

Lead electrical crews on industrial projects from start to finish by utilizing standard testing equipment to troubleshoot issues and install, maintain, and repair systems in accordance with NEC guidelines. Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste and ensure compliance with local codes while collaborating with other trades departments. Train apprentices and journeymen, run full-scale projects, and signal workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety. Adhere to company safety standards and procedures while communicating professionally with customers, project managers, and estimators.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in an industrial electrical role
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics proficiently
  • Strong knowledge of electrical code
  • Ability to Install Specialty Systems, Hazardous, Medium Voltage, Building Control
  • Disconnect and Reconnect Manufactured Equipment, Presses, Weld Cells
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC guidelines
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
  • Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
  • Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
  • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain

  • Meter usage
  • Meggers
  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials
  • Use & recognize limitations of chains, synthetic, metal mesh and wire rope slings
  • Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines
  • Identifies common load configurations & positioning
  • Calculate load weights
  • Rigger 2 training
