Job Summary
Lead and supervise a crew of 5+ electricians and apprentices on commercial and industrial sites, including multistory and big-box projects. Plan daily work assignments, read blueprints, and ensure installations meet NEC codes and pass inspection. Order materials, coordinate deliveries, and communicate with project managers regarding progress and scope changes. Enforce OSHA compliance, troubleshoot field issues, and train junior staff. Maintain timesheets, daily reports, and punch lists. This hands-on leadership role supports D.C. Goodman & Sons' work on hospital and college campus projects.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years as an electrician, including 3-5+ years running projects/crews
- Strong commercial/industrial background (not primarily residential)
- Experience with lighting and control systems, fire alarm systems, and multistory projects
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and specs; working knowledge of NEC
- Experience with panel work, conduit runs, and high/medium voltage distribution
- Journeyman Electrician License (check Huntingdon County/local requirements)
- OSHA 30
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Master Electrician License, especially for pulling permits
- Prior foreman/crew-lead experience
- Comfort coordinating with other trades (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) on multi-trade jobs
