Job Summary
Lead 1–2 crews on public works infrastructure projects, coordinating daily with civil foremen, superintendents, and prime contractors to maintain project momentum. Enforce Cal/OSHA and MUTCD safety standards every shift, run daily tailgate meetings, and manage traffic control plans while maintaining situational awareness. Submit complete field documentation through Procore, including DCRs, photos, AS-Builts, and RFIs in real time. Read electrical plans and schematics to flag errors, mentor trainees, and represent the company professionally with inspectors and clients. This stationary California-based role requires an active State General Electrician Certification and involves outdoor work year-round, including heat, cold, and live traffic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active California State General Electrician Certification (DIR)
- OSHA 30 (Construction)
- NFPA 70E
- current CPR / First Aid
- Public works infrastructure electrical experience
- Field leadership experience running a crew on California public works projects
- Comfortable using a phone or tablet for daily work
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C required)
- Must be insurable under our commercial auto policy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- LiUNA Local 1184 mandatory training
- Must be available for outdoor work year-round in California heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Must be available for stationary California-based role
- Must not be seeking a per-diem-driven traveler position
- Must understand that this is a leadership role, not just a senior electrician position
- Must take ownership of safety, quality, coordination, and documentation
- Must be motivated to develop crews and grow into higher leadership roles
- Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced field environment
