Job Summary
Conduct electrical construction on solar fields by performing DC trenching, MV cable installation, conduit work, fiber termination, and inverter DC termination. Execute DC splices, MV splices, riser terminations, SCADA equipment installation, combiner box assembly, and module installation. Manage wire management, labeling, and survey/as-built documentation while performing string current checks, megger testing, and various voltage tests. Supervise a crew of 10 or more to safely and productively complete required tasks. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, while lifting 50 pounds and performing repetitive actions. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including LOTO, and embody the One Team Approach through planning, communication, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
- Able to supervise a crew of 10 or more to safely and productively complete required tasks
- GED or equivalent education
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
