Job Summary
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures for fueling and charging stations in retail, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using ohm meters, voltmeters, amp probes, and meggers to diagnose failures in petroleum pumps, dispensers, and Point of Sale consoles. Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers and tank monitors while ensuring compliance with safety codes and manufacturer specifications. Advise management and customers on hazards and system safety. Assist with material take-offs and labor allowances. Requires at least one year of Journeyman Electrician experience, ability to lift 75–100 lbs, and willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or, GED
- At least 1 year of Journeyman Electrician experience
- Knowledge of Electrician standards & codes
- Ability to lift 75 –100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing their necessary duties
- Ability to work outside during all types of weather
- Ability to work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others
- Must be able to follow all company procedures
- Must be able to keep company vehicle clean, have maintenance done regularly, and only use it for company business
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical systems that show the location of circuits, outlets, and other equipment
- Experience with different types of hand and power tools, such as conduit benders, to run and protect wiring
- Experience using ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers to find problems and ensure that components are working properly
- Ability to use ohm meter, volt meter, amp probe and megger
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be a self-starter
