Job Summary
Plan new or modified installations to construct or repair wiring, fixtures, and equipment consistent with specifications and local codes. Supervise assigned craft workers by interpreting blueprints, enforcing safety regulations, and adjusting work sequences to meet construction schedules. Analyze work problems, estimate worker-hour requirements, and inspect finished work for quality conformance. Maintain time records and perform frequent safety inspections of areas, equipment, and employees in accordance with SIC policy. Detect dangerous conditions and operate all involved tools while adhering to strict physical demands including lifting fifty pounds and working in confined spaces. Travel will be required. Benefits and paid time off are available after three months.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate journeyman experience
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication
- Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Must be capable of bending consistently
- Must be capable of working in confined spaces with limited access
- Must be capable of working on ladders
- Must be capable of working in personnel lifts
- Must be capable of working in workboats
- Must be capable of working in awkward body positions
- Must be able to travel
