Job Summary
Plan new or modified installations to construct or repair wiring, fixtures, and equipment consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Supervise and coordinate assigned craft workers by interpreting blueprints, job orders, and company policies while enforcing safety regulations. Establish work sequences to meet construction schedules, analyze worker-hour requirements, and resolve on-site problems. Inspect finished work for quality conformance and perform frequent safety inspections of areas, equipment, and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations and SIC policies. Detect dangerous conditions and respond immediately. Maintain time records and attend project planning meetings. Requires appropriate journeyman experience, ability to lift up to fifty pounds, and willingness to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate journeyman experience
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication
- Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Must be capable of bending consistently
- Must be capable of working in confined spaces with limited access
- Must be capable of working on ladders
- Must be capable of working in personnel lifts
- Must be capable of working in workboats
- Must be capable of working in awkward body positions
- Must be able to travel
