Job Summary
Oversee and manage all field-based electrical operations on commercial and industrial projects, ensuring safety compliance, quality workmanship, and cost control. Supervise electricians, foremen, and subcontractors while interpreting blueprints to guide installations and resolve discrepancies. Monitor workplace safety procedures, schedule manpower, and coordinate daily work assignments to meet project timelines. Oversee material ordering, participate in job walks and planning meetings, and interface with the Project Manager to track progress and update budgets. Troubleshoot field-level electrical issues in real-time and maintain documentation for daily logs and change orders. Provide training to foremen and field crews to promote professional development. Requires a Journeyman Electrician License, 5+ years of field supervision experience, and proficiency with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Journeyman Electrician License in the state of operation (or reciprocity eligible)
- 5+ years of experience in electrical field supervision, including commercial or industrial project oversight
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other electrical safety codes and regulations
- Proficient with reading blueprints and electrical schematics
- Competent with temporary power setup, conduit installation, cable tray systems, grounding, and equipment terminations
- Safety-first mindset and commitment to zero-injury culture
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to proactively identify issues and drive solutions
- Experience working on multi-million-dollar electrical projects ($5MM–$10MM)
- Effective negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficient in construction documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
