Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations of crews on assigned electrical projects by planning field activities, determining construction methods, and tracking manpower and material quantities. Direct on-site teams to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules while coordinating with other trades, departments, and contractors. Perform a wide range of skilled construction tasks, create prefab and QC drawings, and resolve construction problems related to productivity or work interfaces. Serve as a liaison to Material Control, Purchasing, and Engineering to support craft activities and maintain project timelines. Monitor safety compliance, document corrective measures, and build relationships with clients and vendors to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years electrical experience in commercial construction and or Multifamily Construction; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Ability to successfully supervise and direct a team of 10+ workers on a day to day basis
- Extensive knowledge of all types of electrical codes and standards associated with electrical work
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience
- Previous knowledge of man hour reports, job cost reports, and workforce planning
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups
- Strong ability to create prefab drawings, shop tickets, and QC VDC drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge of, reading, interpreting and working to: Design drawings (isometric and orthographic), design guides, specifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of, reading, interpreting and working to: Support Drawings and specifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of, reading, interpreting and working to: Contract documents and site coordination of subcontractors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to construction team, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certified
- First Aid/ CPR certified
- Prior military experience
