Job Summary
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of a small electrical crew to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Provide daily leadership, assign individual tasks, and orient new members while evaluating competency and supporting apprenticeship development. Conduct weekly toolbox meetings, verify employees are fit for work, and lead safety incident investigations in compliance with OSHA regulations. Review project plans, verify tools and materials are available, and adjust schedules to meet production goals. Ensure completed work meets electrical plans and blueprints, inspect for deficiencies, and maintain daily reports, timekeeping records, and Task Hazard Analyses. Perform electrical craft work alongside the crew when needed. Full-time role Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work as job duties demand.
Required Qualifications
- Skilled electrician with at least 5-7 years experience as commercial electrician
- Minimum of OSHA 10 certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License
- Knowledge of electrical construction methods and practices
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures
- OSHA-30 certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
- Ability to solve problems and manage jobsite challenges
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with reporting tools
- Stable employment history
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background and reference check
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Possession of reliable transportation
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy tools and equipment related to the trade
- Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have the ability to work at elevated heights, small confined spaces, and various weather conditions
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Travel <= 25%
- Occasional evening and weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to obtain OSHA-30 certification within six months of hire
