Job Summary
Electrical Fleet Support Engineer – MV/LV electrical role located in Europe focusing on resolving service cases and field electrical issues for GE Vernova wind turbine fleets. Responsibilities include leading and supporting service-case resolutions, performing root-cause analyses and corrective actions, coordinating with Services, Fleet Performance, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing, updating electrical schematics and BOMs, supporting spare parts evaluations, and contributing to safety, quality, and fleet performance improvements across MV and LV components. Candidate will travel to wind farms, troubleshoot MV/LV electrical subsystems, and collaborate across global teams to deliver timely, practical solutions that enhance turbine reliability and availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience supporting electrical systems, troubleshooting field issues, or working in a service engineering environment
- Strong knowledge and design experience on MV components (such as MVSG and transformer) and LV components (such as cabinets and cables/harnesses)
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and technical issue resolution
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, components, and BOMs
- Experience in wind, power generation, manufacturing, or other industrial environments is preferred
- Able to travel to wind farms and climb turbines
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Preferred profile: hands-on approach, sense of urgency, strong communication, PLM expertise
- Able to work independently
- Coaching ability for less experienced engineers
- Business acumen and customer focus
- Strong interpersonal skills
