Job Summary
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production equipment by safely disconnecting and reconnecting motors, drives, and plant machinery. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, install and commission electrical components, and interpret technical drawings to complete maintenance records. Respond to maintenance calls and participate in shutdowns, plant upgrades, and after-hours breakdowns while complying with WHS, GMP, and food safety requirements. This full-time role involves working alongside licensed electricians in a manufacturing environment, with welding skills in stainless steel highly regarded.
Required Qualifications
- A trade qualification or proven experience in industrial maintenance
- A solid electrical background with the ability to assist in electrical fault finding and equipment maintenance
- Experience working alongside licensed electricians in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
- Welding skills, stainless steel welding highly regarded
- A proactive attitude, strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to comply with WHS, GMP and food safety requirements
- Must not have birds or pigs of any variety at their place of residence or be in regular contact with any type of birds or pigs
- Must not be in regular contact with persons who are in regular contact with any type of birds or pigs
- Must be willing to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
