Job Summary
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and instructions to assemble switchboards. Install various electrical components such as circuit breakers, transformers, meters, and switches into enclosures. Connect wiring between components using tools like crimpers or soldering irons. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and troubleshoot any issues or defects identified during the assembly process. Maintain a clean and organized work area. This role is based in Noble Park with a 9-day fortnight schedule and RDO.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in interpreting electrical diagrams and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles and systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Busbar manufacturing experience
- Familiar with AS3000, AS61439 and the Victorian SIR's
- Electrical Fitting trade or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Fitter within the manufacturing industry is preferred
