Electrical Field Technician

Job Summary
Conduct on-site technical oversight and coordinate field activities during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of power distribution equipment up to 480VAC. Work directly with clients to understand project requirements, perform field walk-downs to gather system information, and support development of as-built electrical and instrumentation documentation. Oversee equipment installation, testing, and maintenance while providing direction to contractors and technicians. Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) for electrical systems and collaborate with engineering leads to ensure project quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. Provide status updates and documentation related to project progress and potential change orders. Travel up to approximately 75% including air travel to support project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams

- Proven troubleshooting ability for electrical issues
- Proven troubleshooting ability for control system issues
- Solid understanding of panel wiring
- Solid understanding of field wiring diagrams
