Job Summary
Electrical Field Service Technician performing electrical and some mechanical hands-on field service on Jenbacher Gas Engines, including commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhaul; engines range from 0.25 to 9.5 MW and run on natural gas or various other gases; duties include replacing filters and components, conducting inspections, performing repairs, diagnosing electrical/mechanical failures and control-system issues, interpreting wiring diagrams and PLC-related tasks, coordinating with third-party suppliers, documenting service actions and results, maintaining tools and critical spares, and ensuring site safety and environmental health practices; ownership of assigned sites and customers with proactive reliability improvements; capable of creating technical reports detailing visit actions, materials used, and follow-up recommendations; required to travel, work on-site, and occasionally work remotely as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior Field Technician experience such as automotive, power generation, heavy equipment or diesel engines
- Legal permit to work in the United States
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work remotely, as required
- Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle when needed
