Job Summary
Review project plans, develop construction schedules, and coordinate with subcontractors on material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables. Prepare work activity packages, attend pre-bid and construction meetings, and monitor daily field operations while performing layout checks and technical reviews. Manage relationships with owners, consultants, and field personnel; track submittals, RFIs, and performance records to assist with change orders, claims, and monthly progress reporting. Maintain a safe, clean environment through enforcement of safety procedures and compliance with codes and standards. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with five or more years of heavy civil project experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work to the U.S. without visa sponsorship or transfers now or in the future
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution
- 5 or more years of experience on Heavy Civil projects
- Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements
- Project controls techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts)
- Strong working knowledge of critical path method, resource scheduling
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Strong work ethic - Highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- preferably with construction submittals, subcontractor management, and/or relevant field quality control inspection experience
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera P6 is a plus
