Job Summary
Conduct engineering tasks by applying standard techniques to develop preliminary selections and adapt engineering alternatives. Prepare calculations, drawings, and visual aids while assisting with field inspections to evaluate work and materials. Support construction administration by documenting deficiencies and coordinating logistics for project managers. Maintain centralized digital files for project records and help prepare monthly development reports. Research and compile information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests. Assist in budget creation and adherence, and attend community outreach duties and neighborhood meetings. Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Prior experience involving Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater construction projects
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders
- Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
