Job Summary

Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer to diagnose and analyze electrical failures at the system level in Solidigm’s SSD products, develop corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability. Responsibilities include performing detailed electrical failure analysis on PCBs and power delivery systems to identify root causes, using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzer, TDR, and DMM, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive measures, documenting findings in reports with root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations, and helping define strategies for system-level failure analysis. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience, hands-on board-level validation and DOE, proficiency with diagnostic tools, experience reading schematics/PCB layouts, familiarity with I2C/UART/JTAG/SMBus/SPI/PCIe, analytical tools like Microscope/FLIR/XRAY, and ability to work with Windows and Linux and script in C and/or Python. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Hands-on experience in board level electrical validation, electrical fault isolation, and design of experiments (DOE)
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzer, TDR, curve tracer, DMM
  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics and PCB layouts (e.g., Cadence Allegro Viewer)
  • Experience with electrical interfaces such as I2C, UART, JTAG, SMBus, SPI, PCIe
  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as Microscope, FLIR, XRAY
  • Ability to work with Windows and Linux, and write test and automation scripts with C and/or Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
