Job Summary
Senior Electrical Estimator responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents; performing detailed take-offs; coordinating with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and manufacturers; managing multiple bids with tight deadlines; and contributing to cost control and value engineering. Will procure and review drawings and addenda, qualify proposals for completeness, manage pricing with manufacturers, and perform bid analysis using estimating software. Requires strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction methods, plus experience with take-offs, procurement, and communicating effectively across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Construction, Engineering, or related field (Preferred but not required)
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical estimating or electrical construction
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction methods
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Experience with estimating software (McCormick, Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and digital estimating tools
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
