Job Summary
Senior Electrical Estimator to lead and oversee estimating for large commercial and mission-critical electrical construction projects; responsible for leading the estimating team, reviewing and coordinating bid submissions, mentoring estimators, improving estimating processes, and collaborating with executive leadership on bid strategy, forecasting, and risk management. Responsibilities include performing detailed quantity take-offs, developing comprehensive cost proposals that account for labor, materials, subcontractors, scheduling, and risk, reviewing plans and specifications, compiling complete bid packages, identifying scope gaps and pricing exposures, suggesting value engineering, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with clients and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of electrical estimating experience
- 2+ years of estimating leadership or management experience
- Strong commercial electrical construction background
- Experience with electrical takeoffs, budgeting, and blueprint interpretation
- Ability to identify bid risks and scope gaps
- Experience reviewing and overseeing proposals
- Strong mentorship and leadership capabilities
- Proficiency with electrical estimating software
- Accubid (Conest) experience strongly preferred
- Bluebeam experience preferred
