Job Summary
Electrical Estimator needed in Pittsburgh, PA to prepare complete and accurate estimates for commercial/industrial electrical projects. Responsibilities include attending pre-bid/scope-review/client meetings, preparing detailed proposals using estimating software (Accubid preferred), developing clear approach plans and timelines, reviewing project specifications, interpreting drawings and electrical symbols (fire alarm, lighting, controls, receptacles, etc.), performing precise takeoffs, collaborating with general contractors, architects, engineers, and customers, identifying discrepancies and value engineering opportunities, and contributing to training/junior estimators in a team-oriented environment. Basic qualifications include minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, experience with projects from $100K–$100M, and strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, labor, and methods. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator (commercial/industrial focus)
- Experience with projects ranging from $100K–$100M
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems; healthcare and mission critical experience preferred
- Ability to identify design issues and communicate RFIs effectively
- Skilled at preparing estimates at all design stages
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and methods
- Proven ability to perform accurate, well-documented takeoffs
