Job Summary
Develop cost estimates from the take-off stage to bid hand-off by performing fully on-screen electronic takeoffs, markups, and reading blueprints. Analyze material and labor requirements to complete projects, compute and submit bids, and develop estimates for change orders. Visually inspect project locations to determine labor and material needs, contact vendors for pricing, and assess equipment leasing costs. Attend pre-bid and scope review meetings while meeting with engineers, customers, and Project Managers. Maintain change order submissions in an organized, standardized manner. Work with ConEst Estimating Software and Bluebeam to deliver accurate estimates for large and small projects.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience with a High School Diploma
- 4-6 years of experience with an Associate degree
- 0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
- Strong computer, Bluebeam, ConEst, and Microsoft Suite skills
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
- Read and evaluate specifications and blueprints
- Deal effectively with customers
- Analyze risks involved with certain project types
- Estimate large and small projects
- Work calmly under deadlines and external pressure
- Excellent math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship

Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on construction experience
- Journeyman or Master Electrician's License
