Job Summary
Electrical Estimator responsibilities include performing complete take-offs and developing competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and public projects; estimating both hard bid and negotiated design-build projects; utilizing McCormick or AccuBid to prepare detailed proposals and final bid submissions; collaborating with leadership and fellow estimators for multi-level reviews; supporting pricing of change orders on awarded projects; participating in design-build discussions with GCs and owners; transitioning awarded work to Project Management with clear documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 3–10+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience
- Proficiency in McCormick or AccuBid (required)
- Experience estimating projects ranging from $100K to $10M+
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Field experience as an electrician or foreman strongly preferred
- Experience supporting RFIs, material take-offs, and cost tracking
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume bidding environment
- Hybrid flexibility (experience dependent)
