Electrical Estimator II

Job Summary
Independently perform electrical quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications to prepare complete estimates for service work, commercial construction, and mission-critical data center projects. Develop labor and material estimates using vendor quotes, historical data, and site conditions while soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids. Identify scope gaps and constructability concerns before submission, then attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite walkthroughs to coordinate with project managers and field leadership. Manage multiple rapid-turn service requests and maintain pricing databases to ensure estimates align with execution strategies and profitability goals. Requires 6–10+ years of experience, OSHA 30 certification, and proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong background in commercial electrical construction and/or service operations
- Ability to read and interpret full drawing sets, specifications, and one-line diagrams
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency with estimating software, Bluebeam/PlanSwift, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- OSHA 30 certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience estimating mission-critical or data center projects preferred
- Field leadership experience such as Foreman or Superintendent
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license strongly preferred
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent field/estimating experience
