Job Summary
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical scopes of work by analyzing project documents and developing take-offs for electrical systems. The role includes conducting project analysis to assess feasibility and risk, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors for bid solicitation, and engaging with clients to clarify project requirements. Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and 0-3 years of estimation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 0 - 3 years of exposure to estimation
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Capable of working in a team environment and handling client interactions professionally
- Able to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel within local areas
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to estimation software (e.g., Agtek Gradework, Highway, Underground and Materials, AutoCAD, HCSS HeavyBid, and/or Bid2Win, Bluebeam Revu)
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Recent DOT estimating experience
