Electrical Estimator - Data Center Construction

Job Summary
Senior Electrical Estimator will lead the estimating process for electrical construction projects in data-center/mission-critical facilities, developing accurate cost estimates to support competitive bids. Responsibilities include pricing value-engineered alternatives, budget pricing from schematic drawings, drafting scope letters and vendor solicitations, attending job walks and pre-bid meetings, maintaining estimating databases, compiling final bid packages, reviewing others’ estimates, and handing off detailed scopes to operations. The role requires leading estimating team meetings, training junior staff, reviewing contractual documents for scope changes, and ensuring estimates comply with company design standards. Key skills include proficiency with Accubid Anywhere with LiveCount, McCormick, Bluebeam, ConEst, Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel, and strong client-facing communication, analytical and organizational abilities; experience with electrical contracting and large-scale bids ($10M-$100M) is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7 years estimating and preconstruction bid experience on large electrical projects
- Electrical contracting experience required
- Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid Anywhere with LiveCount, McCormick, Bluebeam; ConEst a plus; Primavera P6 a plus)
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and client-facing skills
- Experience leading estimating teams and training junior staff
- Knowledge of electrical codes and calculations (voltage-drop, Ohm’s law, conduit-fill, ampacity, derating)
- Ability to develop accurate budgets and bid packages; conduct vendor solicitations and scope development
- Experience interfacing with State/local municipalities a plus
