Job Summary
Electrical Estimator responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial/industrial electrical construction projects. Reviews project plans and bid documents, performs quantity take-offs for electrical systems, solicits and evaluates vendor/subcontractor quotes, prepares complete bid packages, identifies risks and value engineering options, collaborates with project managers/engineers/field teams, maintains cost databases, and participates in pre-bid meetings and site visits. Office-based with occasional site visits; extended hours during bid periods.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating
- Knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
