Job Summary
Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects by reviewing plans, specs, and bid documents; perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems; solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes; assemble complete bid packages by deadlines; identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams; maintain cost databases and historical records; attend pre-bid meetings and site visits; assist with project handoff to operations after award.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating
- Knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
