Electrical Engineering Technologist

Job Summary
Conduct assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic components, sub-assemblies, PCAs, wiring harnesses, and enclosures within the manufacturing team. Perform product characterization using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, impedance analyzers, and insulation resistance testers while maintaining build and test verification documentation. Ensure adherence to quality standards and the Quality Management System through accurate documentation of assembly and test procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives and operate safely using appropriate protective equipment. Requires a Technologist Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, experience with electronic systems, and proficiency in reading engineering documentation and schematics. Based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, this role supports the design and manufacturing of underwater acoustic transducers for maritime surveillance and exploration.
Required Qualifications
- Technologist Diploma from a recognized college or university
- Experience in electrical or electronic assembly and test of components and systems
- Detail-oriented and well organized
- Experienced in reading engineering documentation, wiring schematics and BoM's
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Passionate about build and test and producing a quality product
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- All candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances
