Job Summary
Monitor the standard of electrical work across the business by organizing and supervising jobs, allocating resources, and ordering spare parts. Ensure the delivery of the engineering schedule by making critical decisions on all electrical matters during shifts. Maintain health, safety, and food hygiene standards while continuously identifying ways to improve department performance and machine efficiency. Resolve and report breakdowns, ensuring all work adheres to Permit to Works, job recording, and fire alarm protocols. Develop key relationships with Production, Packing, HSE, Technical Services, and the People Team. Report to the Head of Engineering within the alts blue Engineering team at HARIBO Castleford.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Food Manufacturing
- A recognised Electrical apprenticeship
- Awareness and knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
- An excellent level of communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- The ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Experience of supervising a team
- Knowledge and experience in delivering detailed reports, combined with the ability to present the relevant information to all interested stakeholders
- A commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong project management skills
