Job Summary
The Electrical Engineering Specialist is responsible for supporting electrical maintenance activities and project initiatives. Key responsibilities include programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives, assisting technicians with equipment issues, maintaining backups of system configurations, and designing/installing new electrical equipment. The position requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage stress, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 0-5 years Electrical Engineering in an industrial maintenance environment
- Associates of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- PLC, HMI, and variable speed drive programming
- PC maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Good communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Effective stress management capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical maintenance processes
- Experience with process improvement projects
Additional Requirements
