Job Summary
Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for providing technical engineering information to Project Manager, Craft Supervisors and Corporate Functional Managers to ensure design development and construction work complies with standards for high voltage and medium voltage projects. Supports pre-construction and project controls, subcontract oversight, and works with construction supervision. This role can be remote with travel or hybrid based in Rockford, IL, with up to 50% travel to Midwest project sites; company vehicle and fuel card provided. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and specifications, developing field design change requisitions, establishing subcontract language and technical requirements, planning construction work packages, managing schedules and resources, supporting QA/QC and documentation, and expediting design development according to contract terms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in utility or electrical systems
- Experience estimating MEP scopes or managing project cost preferred
- P.E License desirable - Any State
- Electrical generation experience with renewable projects is preferred
