Job Summary
Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for ensuring design development and construction work complies with engineering standards, codes, and specifications for high/medium voltage and transportation electrical projects; supports pre-construction and project controls, subcontract oversight, and coordination with project supervision. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and specifications, establishing subcontract language and technical requirements, planning construction work packages for electrical systems, managing project schedules, coordinating material and human resources, supporting progress reporting, aiding in documentation (QA/QC, punch lists, material calculations), and proposing engineering design modifications. Requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in utility/electrical systems, familiarity with cost estimation and EPC project environments, with P.E. license desirable and renewable project experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in utility or electrical systems preferred
- Experience estimating MEP scopes or managing project cost preferred
- P.E License desirable - Any State
- Electrical generation experience with renewable projects is preferred
