Job Summary
Lead the design and development of electrical power distribution and process control systems for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities. Design and specify systems related to pumps, blowers, variable frequency drives, SCADA systems, and process control instrumentation. Develop detailed electrical engineering designs, construction documents, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects. Conduct field investigations to evaluate existing conditions and assist clients with troubleshooting operational issues within treatment and pumping systems. Provide startup, commissioning, and operational support for newly installed electrical and control systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects move forward smoothly. Apply sound engineering judgment to solve technical challenges and support critical infrastructure systems. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, five years of relevant experience, and a Professional Engineering Designation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the detailed design of electrical power distribution and process control systems for municipal and/or industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Professional Engineering Designation (P.E.)
- Hands-on experience with pumps, blowers, VFDs, SCADA systems, and process control instrumentation
- Ability to work both in the office and in the field, whether that means investigating existing systems, troubleshooting operational issues, or supporting system startups
- Ability to balance technical precision with practical, real-world application
