Job Summary

Drive hardware engineering execution across the SDS Division portfolio while leading the planning and execution of the MMIII SLC subsystem Critical Design Review (CDR). Direct the implementation of integrated hardware engineering processes, coordinate technical artifacts, and integrate inputs from geographically dispersed teams to produce a unified CDR package. Own risk and opportunity management, ensure earned value metrics, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering staff. Work with product teams and the Command Systems BU to deliver custom hardware and integration solutions for the Sentinel CS BU. This 9/80 schedule role requires a DoD Secret clearance and 8+ years of experience in complex aerospace systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience
  • Master's degree with 6 years of experience
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • 3+ years experience developing requirements and designing qualification testing
  • 3+ years experience with EVMS on hardware development programs
  • ICBM or complex aerospace systems experience
  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Active DoD TS clearance with Special Access Program, investigation must have been completed within last 5 years
  • Exemplifies and demonstrates strong leadership characteristics and upholds company values
  • Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnel
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or control account manager
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through managing people and understanding and management of internal processes and customer/supplier relationships
  • Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, hardware, etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Experience in working closely with customers to ensure delivery of systems that meet warfighter needs
  • Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus when dealing with groups from diverse organizations and backgrounds
  • Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
  • Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner
