Job Summary
Electrical Engineering Lead based in Chichester, UK, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the electrical design and commissioning team, overseeing electrical and commissioning aspects of projects, and supporting tender activity. The role includes conducting system inspections (FATs) with customers, onsite commissioning and travel to customer sites, developing and growing the team, reviewing project maps, approving electrical designs for compliance, supporting technical developments, planning and executing FATs, and ensuring alignment with project schedules, standards, and customer contract requirements. The position also emphasizes contributing to safety and regulatory standards knowledge (Explosive Atmospheres) and collaboration with the commercial team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum HNC Level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in an electrical design field
- Committed to a career in the Electrical Engineering Profession
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Sound knowledge of IT, including use of Microsoft applications
- Awareness & understanding of Quality, Environmental, Safety & Explosive Atmospheres Standards & working procedures
- Use of design software (AutoCAD LT)
- Understanding of controllers / PLCs / VSDs
- Ability to perform related administration tasks
- To be able to work independently & as part of a team
- Possess good time management skills, being punctual and organised
- Knowledge of the Petrochemical industry / ATEX Requirements / Similar Engineering environment an advantage
