Job Summary
Conduct hands-on work with hardware components, lab equipment, and schematic design tools like Altium to support design, tooling, and testing for a novel consumer product. Collaborate with cross-functional mechanical, systems, and firmware teams on the design and validation of new products while running experiments to collect and analyze hardware performance. Partner with engineering leads to root-cause problems, troubleshoot issues, and document all validation results. This summer 2026 internship spans design, tooling, and testing phases as the team pushes towards the launch of Mill Commercial, offering creative challenges for those pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field or can demonstrate equivalent experience
- Fundamental understanding of analog, digital, and power circuit design
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and motor drivers
- Experience with test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, etc
- Experience with Raspberry Pi, Python, or equivalent tools for scripting collection and analysis of data
- Strong analytical and communication skills
