Job Summary
Electrical Engineering Intern based at Rocket Lab’s Long Beach, CA site; contribute to designing, building, and testing electrical components for satellites across missions from LEO to interplanetary. Work closely with a mentor and colleagues, participate in 1:1s, and engage in tech talks and networking events. Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in computer, electrical, or computer engineering with 3.0+ GPA and 3+ months of applied engineering experience; nice-to-have items include Altium schematic capture, soldering, PCB/PCBA layout, and electronics test equipment familiarity. Compensation includes hourly pay ($28/hour in CA) with relocation stipend potential; full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting August/September 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in a computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering discipline
- at least one semester remaining post internship
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
