Job Summary
Lead and mentor a 5–7 person electronics design team to design, prototype, test, and support mixed-signal electronic control systems; translate requirements into detailed specifications, timelines, and cost estimates; oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution across multiple initiatives; collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure design for manufacturability and production success; work cross-functionally with software, systems, and manufacturing teams on integration and testing; drive continuous improvement of existing electronics platforms for performance and reliability; contribute to long-term engineering strategy and annual planning; maintain hands-on design and prototyping involvement; occasional travel to partner or customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in mixed-signal electronics design
- Strong background in control systems and data acquisition/processing
- Experience with analog circuit design, including low-noise and medium-to-high voltage applications
- Proficiency with modern electronic design tools (schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation, firmware development)
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (Python, C, or similar)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering teams
- Strong project leadership skills, including planning, estimating, and risk management
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and understanding of design for manufacturability
