Job Summary
Design plant electrical distribution systems, electrical room layouts, and one-line diagrams for commercial and industrial projects. Prepare equipment specifications, perform load flow and short circuit calculations, and draft designs using AutoCAD. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain project schedules and contribute to business development through client research and proposal presentations. Based in the Windsor office, this role supports project managers and includes business travel to other Dillon offices upon request. Candidates must hold an electrical engineering degree and be registered as an engineer-in-training in Ontario. The position offers a salary range of $58,800 to $88,300, flexible work hours, and access to the Early Career Development program.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in electrical engineering
- Registration as an engineer-in-training in the province of Ontario, or be eligible within six months
- Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and good engineering practices
- Understanding of the range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration
- Proficient in the use of current AutoCAD software
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years' work experience with exposure to consulting
- Working knowledge of Revit software

- Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
