Job Summary
Electrical Engineering Drafter responsible for creating, maintaining, and controlling electrical documentation to support design, development, and validation of power supply products. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to produce schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and supporting documentation. Focus on documentation accuracy, configuration control, and engineering change support using SAP ERP, with hands-on lab assistance for prototype builds, test setups, and validation of custom switch-mode AC/DC and DC/DC power converters. Requires strong drafting skills in Altium, attention to detail, and practical understanding of power electronics hardware. Duties include creating/updating schematics and BOMs, aligning schematics with released hardware, submitting ECRs/ECOs, developing build procedures and electrical assembly instructions, supporting prototype builds and lab testing, identifying documentation gaps, and potential soldering/rework of fine-pitch components (bonus).
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing in an electrical drafting role
- Experience creating electrical schematics and related documentation using Altium
- Experience preparing and submitting Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) using SAP ERP or similar systems
- Hands-on experience with constructing and building electronics testing fixtures/equipment
- Familiarity with operating electronic test equipment such as oscilloscope, voltage/current sensors, electronic loads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
- Experience with test data collection and analysis; strong sense of quality
- Experience with test plan and test procedure development is a plus
- Power supply and/or high voltage experience is a plus
