Job Summary
Prepare or review modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, engineering analyses, technical specifications, and vendor bid evaluations for nuclear power plant systems. Conduct studies and options evaluations for operating plant modifications. Develop engineering cost estimates for client-requested work scopes and lead engineering project teams. Visit client offices and plant sites to interface with stakeholders, make presentations, and perform design reviews. Travel to client, vendor, and plant locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs during key project or outage periods.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 10 or more years of experience in the nuclear power industry
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
- Must be able to travel periodically to either client sites or S&L offices, including during key project or Plant outage periods
