Job Summary
Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients while solving complex problems and collaborating across disciplines. Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations alongside Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices. Assist with technical specification writing, report generation, and electrical equipment cost research. Gain exposure to solar/energy projects, battery storage, PV, and Intelligent Transportation Systems including traffic operations and fiber networks. This full-time role in Irving, Texas, requires an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree by Summer 2027.
Required Qualifications
- An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027
- Must be available for on-site work in Irving, Texas (TX)
- Must be able to utilize technical software programs on a regular basis
- Must be able to solve complex problems
- Must be able to collaborate across disciplines
- Must be able to develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations
- Must be able to develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's and client's practices, procedures, and standards
Desired Qualifications
- Gain exposure to solar/energy projects with a focus in battery storage and PV
- Gain exposure to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design
