Job Summary
Electrical Engineer responsible for leading the analysis, design, and optimization of electrical power systems for data center environments, including designing UPS/DC power configurations, switchgear and control schemes using PLCs/relays, performing size analyses for standby generators, preparing bills of materials, ensuring code compliance (NEC) and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams across multiple site visits. Must have hands-on experience with electrical drafting/submittals, AutoCAD/Revit, Modbus/TCP/IP communications, and a track record of delivering reliable, cost-effective electrical designs for mission-critical facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience
- Knowledge of low voltage switchboard / switchgear design, installation, and use
- Knowledge of local, state, & federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchboards/switchgear
- Working knowledge in AutoDesk suite including AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code
- Ability to research new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment/facilities
- Strong communication skills and detail orientation
- Proven leadership and problem solving skills
- Proven Project Management skills
