Job Summary
Electrical Engineer, Test role focusing on building and scaling custom test systems for device characterization and manufacturing validation. Work spans hardware and software, including instrumentation integration, PCB bring-up, firmware validation, and automation software for data collection and experimental debugging. Collaborate with Device, Manufacturing, and Production teams to define test requirements, improve reliability, and support reproducibility and production handoff. Hands-on, cross-disciplinary work involving electronics, lab instrumentation, high-voltage considerations, and the development of test fixtures, wiring, and supporting hardware infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related technical field
- 2–5 years of experience in test engineering, electrical engineering, embedded systems, instrumentation, or related hardware development roles
- Experience with electronics, instrumentation, or embedded hardware systems in a lab environment
- Familiarity with analog and mixed-signal circuits (op-amps, filters, relays, power devices)
- Experience with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, source meters)
- Experience with Python, C, or C++ for automation/instrumentation/embedded systems
- Familiarity with instrumentation communication protocols and device integration
- PCB debugging, hardware bring-up, soldering, and bench-level troubleshooting
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related field
