Job Summary
Prepare electrical design drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems while supporting projects from concept through construction. Perform load calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts, then coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions. Participate in client meetings, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist during construction administration phases to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3–6 years of experience within a consulting engineering environment (building design)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and relevant standards
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or institutional projects
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
