Job Summary
Prepare electrical design drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems; support projects from concept through to construction, including design development and tender packages; perform calculations including load calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts; coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions; participate in client meetings and internal design coordination meetings; review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist during construction administration phases; ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3–6 years of experience within a consulting engineering environment (building design)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and relevant standards
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or institutional projects
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
