Job Summary
Design, develop, and validate tests from complex design specifications for mass production environments to ensure high product quality and consistent cycle times. Investigate, design, purchase, and validate hardware solutions supporting automotive production processes, including PC control boxes, machine vision systems, and data acquisition devices. Develop vision system tests to confirm proper electrical connections and administer SQL database solutions to manage production data. Interpret and implement applicable ISO, ANSI, and NEC regulations while adhering to US Department of Transportation standards for vehicle displays. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience and proficiency in PLC programming, networking, and machine vision systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of related experience
- Able to interpret, adhere to & implement applicable ISO, ANSI, NFPA 79, and NEC regulations
- Ability to comprehend US Department of Transportation regulations on Vehicle Displays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Proficient in PLC programming (RSLogix 5000 preferred)
- Proficient in networking, TCP/IP, OPC, etc.
- Proficient in creating electrical drawings
- Ability to interpet PLC ladder logic diagrams
- Proficient in conceptualization of automated processes and converting to PLC logic
- Ability to develop SQL databases, queries, etc.
- Proficient in programming languages (VB, C/C++/C# etc)
- Proficient in machine vision systems (Cognex VisionPro/Keyence)
